Word of the Week # 1

1. Digerati
2. http://www.sensesofcinema.com/2011/feature-articles/true-grit-digerati-go-western-millennials-go-%E2%80%9Cback-in-the-day%E2%80%9D/ I found this word while reading an article published on SenseOfCinema.com.  The article talks about movies today, namely True Grit, and how the Digerati are making these movies and the connections associated with the Digerati that are noticeable throughout movies.
3. Because history is a “back in the day” personal interest of the analog generation and therefore will continue as a “personal choice” until the last analog bites the dust, all history in the digerati consciousness is a jumble of choices, yours to make and yours to make of as you choose.
4. (dij-uh-rah'-tee) pl. n: persons knowledgeable about computers and technology.
5.  Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are a couple of the most predominant digerati of our time.

Zachary Toberman

All About Me

Zachary Toberman is said to be one of the most influential persons of the 21st century.

Zachary was born in Santa Monica hospital to Brad and Margaret Toberman at 7:37 a.m on July 24th 1990.

He grew up in Manhattan Beach, California and attended Mira Costa High School where he competed on the surfing and wrestling teams.

Zachary was then accepted to San Jose State University where he declared Public Relations as his major.

Zach joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity and excelled in his academic career.

Over the summers Zachary returns home to Manhattan Beach where he has taken up different jobs every year.

Zach started off at the typical teenager job, a pizza delivery boy for Fresh Brothers Pizza.

The next summer he joined the UCLA summer camps program where he worked as a counselor teaching youths to sail, surf, kayak, and stand-up paddle.

The following summer Zach was hired to work at a post-production graphic design house called Motiv Films and Blissium Inc.

Here, Zach was taught about the many different fields of graphic design and post-production and how simple ideas are turned into high budget projects.

After being an executive assistant (office bitch) for a summer Zach turned his ambitions towards working in television.

Both of Zach's parents have careers in television with his mom being a news writer for Channel 2 CBS and Channel 9 KCAL and his father being a Director for the Tennis Channel.

With this in mind, Zachary banked on nepotism to land him his next job.

The following summer Zach worked with his father, Brad, at the Tennis Channel writing the Ticker News Feed for the summer.

Zachary is now attending his fourth year at SJSU and is currently looking for internships in the Public Relations field around town.

His favorite color is Malachite and in his spare time Zachary loves to skate, surf, and snowboard.

Zach's strengths in writing are that he is able to use short descriptive sentences that flow easily together.

Zach believes he needs work in making his stories shorter, as he always finds himself deleting entire paragraphs by the time he has finished a paper.
