Your Favorite Writing. Zach Toberman
Each movie in the trilogy was nominated for best picture by the academy awards.
The final chapter, The Return of the King won best picture and the other two have won outstanding awards as well.
J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy is my favorite piece of writing and has been portrayed brilliantly through three movies.
I believe that one reason the movies were so well done is because how well Tolkien described and wrote these stories.
Aside from creating an interesting idea, Tolkien gave each character so much life and realism that the actors who portrayed them nailed their parts perfectly.
The stories are good pieces of writing because they are written very descriptively and are captivating.
Tolkien is known for his overly descriptive writing styles in which he can take up five pages talking about a field of grass in “The Return of the King”.
I enjoy the similarities and differences between the style of the books and how Peter Jackson directed the movies because they are both well done.
The trilogy was written between 1937 and 1949 and was published in 1945 and 1946.
The Hobbit, which was written in 1937, is the beginning of the story and is said by some to be a better story than the trilogy but personally I enjoyed the trilogy more.
